霍山石斛照醇溶性浸出物测定法（通则2201）项下的热浸法测定，用乙醇作溶剂，干品不得少于8.0%。

含量测定

同药材。

特征图谱

霍山石斛照高效液相色谱法（通则0512测定）。色谱条件与系统适用性试验以十八烷基硅烷键合硅胶为填充剂；以乙腈-甲醇溶液（1∶1）为流动相A, 0.01mol/L乙酸铵溶液为流动相B，按下表中的规定进行梯度洗脱；流速为每分钟0.8ml；柱温40℃；检测波长为340nm。理论板数按夏佛塔苷峰计算应不低于5000。参照物溶液的制备取霍山石斛对照药材约1g，加入甲醇50ml，超声处理30分钟（功率250W，频率50kHz），取出，放冷，滤过，滤液浓缩至5ml，作为对照药材参照物溶液。另取夏佛塔苷对照品加甲醇制成每1ml含50μg的溶液，作为对照品参照物溶液，即得。供试品溶液的制备取本品（鲜品干燥后粉碎）粉末（过三号筛）约1g，同对照药材参照物溶液制备方法，制成供试品溶液，即得。测定法分别精密吸取上述参照物溶液与供试品溶液各5～20μl，注入液相色谱仪，记录色谱图，即得。供试品色谱中应呈现5个特征峰，并应与对照药材参照物色谱峰中的5个特征峰保留时间相对应，其中峰1应与对照品参照物峰保留时间相对应。对照特征图谱峰1（S）：夏佛塔苷

功能与主治

益胃生津，滋阴清热。用于热病津伤，口干烦渴，胃阴不足，食少干呕，病后虚热不退，阴虚火旺，骨蒸劳热，目暗不明，筋骨痿软。
