- This systematic review aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Kuanxiong Aerosol compared with nitrates for Angina Pectoris by meta-analyzing the difference in 3-min angina remission rates, 5-min angina remission rates, electrocardiogram efficacy and incidence of adverse reactions.
- Study Type Included
- RCTs with blind method or not and no limit of publishing language were included. We excluded quasi- RCTs and non-RCTs. The course of treatment was not less than 1 week. Additionally, the outcomes of studies must involve the 3-min angina remission rate or electrocardiogram efficacy and incidence of adverse reactions.
- Condition Being Studied
- Angina pectoris (Angina pectoris) is a very common clinical syndrome caused by acute transient myocardial ischemia and hypoxia caused by insufficient blood supply to coronary arteries caused by various reasons. Currently nitrates are the most commonly used in the treatment of angina pectoris, but are prone to drug resistance and adverse reactions. Therefore, many problems and symptoms remain unresolved.

- The treatment group was given Kuanxiong Aerosol combined with conventional standard treatment. Kuanxiong Aerosol is a popular Chinese patent medicine with aromatic warming effect that can relieve the symptoms of coronary heart disease and angina pectoris.
