- Study Type Included
- We will include randomised trials to assess the beneficial effects of the treatments, and will supplement these with observational studies (including cohort and case–control studies) for the assessment of harms.

- Participant
- Inclusion: Participants included in the study included essential hypertension patients with mild or moderate proteinuria for more than 5 years. There was no obvious clinical manifestation of target organ damage. Exclusion: other serious illnesses or complications; kidney transplant recipients and other types of kidney disease patients.

- In the treatment of chronic kidney disease, there are often serious adverse effects associated with traditional Western medicine treatment. The traditional Chinese medicine compound mixture is gradually recognized by modern medicine, but the research of its active ingredients is still in an immature stage. Related studies have reported basic research on the treatment of diseases with a single Chinese medicine and its extracts. Through preliminary searches, some clinical studies have used Huang Qi and its extracts to treat chronic kidney disease. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Huang Qi and its extracts in chronic kidney disease.
- Comparator Control
- Placebo. A group of hypertensive nephropathy patients treated with ARB alone.

- 24h urinary protein. Measures of effect Before and after intervention.
