本品呈不规则碎块状或鳞片状粉末，碎块直径0.5～1.5cm，厚0.5～1cm，无明显棱角。黄绿色至青黄色，鳞片状粉末光泽性更强。碎块断面呈较明显层片状。质松软，易碎。气微，味淡。

青礞石 除去杂石，砸成小块。
贮藏
置干燥处。
功能与主治
坠痰下气，平肝镇惊。用于顽痰胶结，咳逆喘急，癫痫发狂，烦躁胸闷，惊风抽搐。
性味与归经
甘、咸，平。归肺、心、肝经。
用法与用量
多入丸散服，3～6g；煎汤10～15g，布包先煎。
