本品呈类球形，直径3～6mm，有短梗。苞片数层，鳞片状，棕褐色。花萼5，灰绿色或棕红色。花瓣5或多数，黄白色或淡粉红色。雄蕊多数；雌蕊1，子房密被细柔毛。质轻。气清香，味微苦、涩。

检查

水分不得过13.0%（通则0832第二法）。总灰分不得过10.0%（通则2302）。

贮藏

置阴凉干燥处，防霉，防蛀。

鉴别

（1）本品粉末棕色。花粉粒近球形，极面观呈类圆三角形，直径35～45μm, 3孔沟。非腺毛无色或黄棕色，由1～4细胞组成，单细胞多见，平直或稍弯曲，长短不一，直径10～28μm。草酸钙结晶存在于薄壁细胞中或散在，直径8～33μm，棱角不明显或宽钝，有的呈碎块状。苞片或萼片表皮细胞表面观类方形、长方形或不规则多角形，垂周壁略呈连珠状增厚，角质纹理隐约可见，气孔可见。花粉囊内壁细胞具细密网状增厚纹理，少见。（2）取本品粉末0.5g，加50%甲醇15ml，超声处理30分钟，滤过，取滤液作为供试品溶液。另取梅花对照药材0.5g，同法制成对照药材溶液。再取绿原酸对照品、异槲皮苷对照品，加甲醇制成每1ml含绿原酸50μg、异槲皮苷25μg的混合溶液，作为对照品溶液。照薄层色谱法（通则0502）试验，吸取上述三种溶液各2～4μl，分别点于同一聚酰胺薄膜上，以正丁醇-醋酸-水（5∶0.15∶4）为展开剂，展开，取出，晾干，喷以3%三氯化铝乙醇溶液，热风加热至斑点清晰，置紫外光灯（365nm）下检视。供试品色谱中，在与对照药材色谱和对照品色谱相应的位置上，显相同颜色的荧光斑点。

浸出物

照醇溶性浸出物测定法（通则2201）项下的热浸法测定，用稀乙醇作溶剂，不得少于30.0%。

含量测定

照高效液相色谱法（通则0512）测定。色谱条件与系统适用性试验以十八烷基硅烷键合硅胶为填充剂；以含0.1%甲酸的乙腈为流动相A，以0.1%甲酸溶液为流动相B，按下表中的规定进行梯度洗脱；检测波长为355nm。理论板数按金丝桃苷峰计算应不低于5000。对照品溶液的制备取绿原酸对照品、金丝桃苷对照品和异槲皮苷对照品适量，精密称定，加50%甲醇制成每1ml含绿原酸0.2mg、金丝桃苷15μg、异槲皮苷15μg的混合溶液，即得。供试品溶液的制备取本品粉末（过四号筛）约0.5g，精密称定，置具塞锥形瓶中，精密加入50%甲醇50ml，密塞，称定重量，超声处理（功率250W，频率40kHz）45分钟，放冷，再称定重量，用50%甲醇补足减失的重量，摇匀，滤过，取续滤液，即得。测定法分别精密吸取对照品溶液与供试品溶液各5μl，注入液相色谱仪，测定，即得。本品按干燥品计算，含绿原酸（C16H18O9）不得少于3.0%，含金丝桃苷（C21H20O12）及异槲皮苷（C21H20O12）的总量不得少于0.35%。

疏肝和中，化痰散结。用于肝胃气痛，郁闷心烦，梅核气，瘰疬疮毒。
