- Title
- Safety and Diagnostic Utility of Intracoronary Acetylcholine Vasoreactivity Testing
- Review Question
- What is the safety of intracoronary acetylcholine for vasoreactivity testing in humans for the assessment and diagnosis of disorders of coronary vasomotion?
- Study Type Included
- Randomised Control Trials, meta-analysis, systematic review, observational studies
- Condition Being Studied
- Acetylcholine vasoreactivity testing for vasomotor angina
- Participant
- Inclusion : Adults undergoing acetylcholine vasoreactivity testing where safety outcomes are reported and/or where efficacy of testing is reported Exclusion : Adolescents (under 18 years of age), case reports, case series
- Animal
- Human Disease Modelled
- Intervention
- Intracoronary acetylcholine for the assessment of epicardial and microvascular coronary dysfunction
- Comparator Control
- Main Outcome
- Primary safety outcomes : atrial arrhythmias, ventricular arrhythmias, bradycardia, myocardial infarction, death, shock, stroke. Major adverse cardiac events include MI, stroke, death, heart failure. Measures of effect incidence, number needed to test
- Outcome Measure
- Additional Outcome
- Secondary outcomes : Prevalence of endothelial dysfunction, microvascular spasm and epicardial vasospasm, coronary artery involved in the vasospasm. Assess the incidence of procedural complications based off the artery involved and dose of acetylcholine used. Measures of effect Absolute risk of major adverse cardiac events
