- Title
- Efficacy and Safety of Individualized versus Conventional Ovarian Stimulation for Gonadotropin Starting Dose Selection: A Bayesian Network Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
- Review Question
- Whether individualized ovarian stimulation protocol can achieve comparable assitant reproductive outcomes and reduce the incidence of OHSS compared with conventional ovarian stimulation protocol
- Study Type Included
- Only RCT study compared individualized with conventional ovulation stimulation was included.
- Condition Being Studied
- infertility couples treat with assisted reproductive technology
- Participant
- Inclusion criteria: 1、RCT study 2、Individualized versus Conventional ovulation stimulation 3、Outcome Report at least one of the following data: ovulation stimulation outcome(obtained oocytes, poor response rate, duration of stimulation, total dose of gonadotropin use, OHSS rate), treatment outcome (clinical pregnancy rate, live birth rate). Exclusion criteria: Donor eggs and embryos, abstracts, reviews, case reports, non-English articles, repeated data/articles.
- Animal
- Human Disease Modelled
- Intervention
- Individualized ovulation stimulation based on following one or more markers: Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH), Antral Follicle Count (AFC), age, Body Mass Index (BMI), Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), height, weight, basal Estradiol (E2), doppler score, ovarian volume and smoking
- Comparator Control
- Conventional ovulation stimulation based on clinical experience
- Main Outcome
- OHSS rate and live birth rate
- Outcome Measure
- Additional Outcome
- duration of stimulation, total gonadotropin dose, number of oocytes retrieved, proportion of patients with appropriate response (5-15 retrieved oocytes), proportion of patients with hypo-response (<5 retrieved oocytes), proportion of patients with hyper-response (>15 or >20 retrieved oocytes), proportion of patients with severe OHSS (sOHSS, defined as clinical ascites(occasionally hydrothorax), oliguria, haemoconcentration with haematocrit >45% or hypoproteinaemia, and ovarian size usually >12 cm) , clinical pregnancy rate Measures of effect relative risk (RR) with 95% CIs for dichotomous endpoints and weighted mean difference (WMD) with 95% CIs for continuous endpoints
