- We will include case report studies to compile and summarize the cardiovascular side effects of lithium, and will supplement these with observational studies (including cohort and case–control studies) for the assessment of risk within population
- Condition Being Studied
- Cardiovascular side effects: ECG abnormalities. Myocarditis. Cardiomyopathies. Cardiac tamponade. Thrombosis. Pulmonary hypertension
- Participant
- Inclusion: Adults using lithium (as mood stabilizer treatment or for other purposes) Exclusion: Pregnant women and children (under the age of 18)

- Intervention
- Lithium usage interventions are defined as the use of lithium for mood stabilizer treatment or for other purposes. Lithium was used directly, with oral route of administration. All timings, frequencies and dosages of usage are eligible for inclusion.

- Main Outcome
- The types, clinical manifestations, and severity of lithium-induced cardiovascular side effects. Establishing the factors and dose limits in lithium-induced cardiovascular toxicity in adults. Measures of effect Meta analysis is not planned
- Outcome Measure
- Additional Outcome
- Sex and age of the patients, duration and dosage of lithium usage, treatment given to the patients, and result of treatment. Measures of effect Meta analysis is not planned
