Title
Remineralizing Potential of Calcium Sucrose Phosphate in White Spot Lesions: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Review Question
In patients undergoing Orthodontic Treatment, is Calcium Sucrose Phosphate better than other remineralizing agents for White Spot Lesions?
Study Type Included
Randomized Control Trials
Condition Being Studied
White Spot Lesions are a very common problem seen in patients undergoing orthodontic treatment with fixed appliances. These appear as small, opaque lesions that are whitish in color around the brackets as a result of demineralization of the enamel, hence these lesions are also called the initial carious lesions. Thus, there is a need to remineralize these lesions for which various remineralizing agents are available in the market. Calcium Sucrose Phosphate is one such remineralizing agent. Hence, this systematic review compiles all the studies that have concluded that calcium sucrose phosphate is a promising remineralizing agent based on different parameters.
