- Title
- A systematic review and meta-analysis of the effectiveness and safety of butylphthalide in combination with argatroban in the treatment of ischemic stroke
- Review Question
- Although many countries and regions have formed a relatively standardized diagnosis and treatment plan for ischemic stroke, poor prognosis is a unresolved problem . The main factors include the development of atherosclerosis plaque, which activate the blood coagulation pathway, release of inflammatory factors, and reperfusion injury caused by blood reperfusion. Butylphthalide is a class I innovative drug in China, and its chemical structure is racemic n-butylphthalide. Animal and clinical trials have confirmed that butylphthalide can significantly alleviate the degree of central nervous system injury and reduce reperfusion injury . Agatroban is a direct thrombin inhibitor with small molecular weight, which can penetrate the Blood–brain barrier and inhibit the thrombin free from the lesion site and combined with the blood clot, thus improving the blood supply in the ischemic region . Whether the combination of the two drugs can further improve the prognosis of ischemic stroke patients and provide a better treatment plan for clinical.
- Study Type Included
- Randomized controlled trials
- Condition Being Studied
- Ischemic stroke is the most common type of cerebrovascular disease, accounting for 81.9% of all stroke hospitalizations, and is characterized by high morbidity, high disability, high mortality, and high recurrence rates, the Global Burden of Disease Study (GBD; http://ghdx.healthdata.org/) data show that the incidence of ischemic stroke in China increased from 117/100, 000 in 2005 to 145/100, 000 in 2019.
