- Title
- Effect of anthocyanins found in berries on the oxidation of fats and carbohydrates in physically active individuals
- Review Question
- Which berries are the most efficient in fat oxidation in physically active individuals? Which berries are the most efficient in carbohydrate oxidation in physically active individuals?
- Study Type Included
- We will include studies that are randomized and are doble or single blinded
- Condition Being Studied
- Effect of anthocyanins in physically trained individuals.
- Participant
- Inclusion: physically active individuals from 18 to 50 years of age. Exclusion: Adolescents (under 18 years of age) and people ove 50 years of age
- Animal
- Human Disease Modelled
- Intervention
- Administration of anthocyanins found in berries to physically active individuals and what is their effect on the oxidation of fats and carbohydrates
- Comparator Control
- Placebo (people who were not exposed to the anthocyanin source)
- Main Outcome
- People who have consumed the anthocyanin source will demonstrate an increase in the oxidation of fats and carbohydrates compared to the control group (placebo). Measures of effect Maximal oxygen consumption
- Outcome Measure
- Additional Outcome
- Better blood pumping at the moment of physical activity Measures of effect Heart rate
