- Oral candidiasis is a pathology that occurs in immunocompromised patients, in this case we will refer to the oral cavity causing gingivostomatitis drastically affecting the quality of life of patients who wear oral prostheses, causing pain, discomfort and difficulty for their usual feeding, This can be complicated if it is not treated immediately, there are conventional pharmacological treatments which have presented failures and its use reports hepatotoxicity in the individual, for this reason it is desired to make an exhaustive search of other therapeutic options such as phytotherapy in this case the lemon verbena against this pathology.
- Participant
- Reports of clinical studies reporting the efficacy of active components of lemon verbena against candida albicans versus conventional drug treatments will be studied. We will exclude literature reviews, letters to the editor, opinion articles, book chapters, congress abstracts; in vitro studies or animal model studies; qualitative research; observational studies; non-randomized or non-parallel clinical trials; and articles that do not have access to complete information.

- Reports of clinical studies reporting data on the efficacy of active components of Lemon verbena (Cymbopogon citratus) against commonly used pharmacological treatments with drugs such as: nystatin, fluconazole, ketoconazole, miconazole, itroconazole will be considered. Literature reviews, letters to the editor, opinion articles, book chapters, conference abstracts; in vitro or animal model studies; qualitative research; observational studies; non-randomized or non-parallel clinical trials; and articles that do not have access to complete information will be excluded.
- Comparator Control
- The comparandum will be pharmacological drug therapy used in gingivostomatitis such as nystatin, fluconazole, ketoconazole, miconazole, itroconazole.

- Antifungal effect of active components of lemon verbena in gingivostomatitis.
