Review Question
To summarize information on people’s health related attitudes, beliefs and preferences regarding dietary patterns rich in salt.
Study Type Included
We will include primary qualitative (e.g. interviews, focus groups), quantitative (e.g. questionnaires) or mixed methods studies.
Condition Being Studied
Studies addressing people’s health related attitudes, beliefs and preferences about salt in their daily diet.
Participant
Adults (≥18 years of age), or studies including at least 80% of adults.
Animal
Human Disease Modelled
Intervention
Salty foods consumption or dietary patterns rich in salt.
Comparator Control
Dietary patterns lower in salt or replacement sodium salt with different kind of salt (e.g. potassium salt).
Main Outcome
Studies addressing people’s health related attitudes, beliefs and preferences regarding salt consumption and dietary patterns rich in salt.
Outcome Measure
Additional Outcome
Readiness and willingness to change salt consumption. Determinants of salt reduction.
