- Title
- Evidence construction of cordyceps for autoimmune thyroiditis: integrating meta-analysis and network pharmacology
- Review Question
- PICOS
- Study Type Included
- We will include all published Chinese and English randomized controlled studies on Cordyceps preparations in the treatment of hypertension
- Condition Being Studied
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis(HT) known as autoimmune thyroiditis is a common autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) and endocrine disorder. HT is characterized by increased levels of thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPOAb) and thyroglobulin antibody (TGAb), diffuse lymphocytic infiltration of the thyroid gland, manifestations of goitrous or atrophic gland, and frequent thyroid dysfunction in varying degrees. Cordyceps, a drug derived from the traditional Chinese medicine, could exert immune-modulatory effects on many autoimmune-inflammatory diseases. Some recent study reported that Cordyceps could have effects on reducing serum titer of anti-thyroid autoantibodies in AITD. Does Cordyceps have the potential and mechanism of treating autoimmune thyroiditis?. We conduct a meta-analysis of available data to address this issue.
- Participant
- Inclusion criteria: Clinical trials investigating Cordyceps preparations for the treatment of AITD will be included. Exclusion criteria:1.Excluding non-control trials such as: case reports, animal experiments, literature review, etc;Excluding the re-published papers or articles, according to the specific circumstances of the use of reports more detailed research;Exclusion of related studies with incomplete, non-standard, or non-specific and accurate outcome assessments;Exclude studies in which drug administration is unclear.
