- Infertile men who do not take carob supplements or a non-exposed control group
- Main Outcome
- Primary outcomes: Primary outcomes (1) Response rate to treatment as measured by spermatograms and hormonal assessments; (2) Changes in total sperm count, concentration, and motility as measured by spermatograms; (3) Testicular function as assessed by measuring testosterone, estradiol, FSH, and LH levels.

- Secondary outcomes: (1) Effects of carob pretreatment in reducing sperm abnormalities assessed by spermatograms; (2) Incidence of treatment-emergent adverse events.
