- Allergic rhinitis is a common respiratory disorder characterized by inflammation of the nasal passages due to an immune response to allergens. However, there is growing interest in exploring alternative and complementary therapies, such as traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Moxibustion, a therapeutic technique in TCM, involves the burning of dried mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) near specific acupoints on the body. It is believed to stimulate circulation, alleviate symptoms, and restore balance in the body's energy flow[7, 8]. Yupingfeng San, a herbal formula widely used in TCM, consists of Astragalus membranaceus, Atractylodes macrocephala, and Saposhnikovia divaricata. It has been traditionally prescribed to strengthen the body's immune system and regulate immune responses. In recent years, the combination of moxibustion and Yupingfeng San has gained attention as a potential treatment regimen for allergic rhinitis. Therefore, conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the existing literature on the combination of moxibustion and Yupingfeng San for allergic rhinitis is crucial. This study aims to synthesize the available evidence, assess the overall treatment effects, and provide insights into the potential benefits and limitations of this therapeutic regimen.

- Inclusion Criteria: The following criteria were used to select studies for inclusion: Studies evaluating the combination of moxibustion and Yupingfeng San as a treatment regimen for allergic rhinitis. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) or quasi-randomized controlled trials. Studies involving human participants of any age or gender.
