- Condition Being Studied
- Menopause is a transition period marked for many women by fluctuating physiological changes that affect quality of life in the short term with vasomotor symptoms, sleep and mood disturbances, as well as long-term changes such as genitourinary symptoms and decreased bone density. Natural menopause is defined as the absence of menstruation for 12 months without a pathological cause, and occurs, on average, at 51.4 years of age. Vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes and night sweats) are the most common manifestations of the transition to menopause and the post-menopausal phases of reproductive life. They not only interfere with quality of life, but also contribute to sleep and mood disturbances that potentially compromise effectiveness at home and at work.

- Intervention
- Intervention: Estriol, Estriol + Standard Therapy (Estradiol and Progestagen) Standart therapy include hormonal therapy. The main indications for hormone replacement therapy are the suppression of hot flashes and the treatment of atrophy of the urogenital tissues, which can manifest itself in the form of dryness of the vagina. For women who have a uterus, estrogen therapy should be combined with a progestin to prevent the induction of endometrial cancer. For women without a uterus, hormone therapy typically consists of estrogen alone.
- Comparator Control
- Treatment options include hormonal therapy, prescription of non-hormonal drugs, behavioral and mind/body therapies, and alternative over-the-counter preparations. The main comparison will be made aganist placebos.
- Main Outcome
- The main result analyzed will be the relief of vasomotor symptoms, which will be done through pre-existing indices that assess quality of life. Measures of effect We will gather data for a minimum of two studies using the random effects model (with standardized mean difference (SMD)) and a 95% confidence interval (CI) for continuous data, or odds ratio (OR) and 95% CI for dichotomous data due to expected heterogeneity in the included RCTs. Subgroup analyzes can also be conducted to investigate the sources of any significant heterogeneity (defined as an I² test result > 50%)
