Review Question
Ulcerative colitis is an idiopathic chronic inflammatory disease of the colonic mucosa, which is relatively common in clinical practice. Relevant studies have shown that the incidence of this disease has been on the rise in recent years. This reticulated meta-analysis focused on patients with ulcerative colitis. The intervention measures were Gegen Qinlian Tang, Banxia Xiexin Tang, Shaoyao Tang, Gacao Xiexin Tang, Baitouweng Tang, Shenling Baizhu powder and their additive and subtractive formulas in combination with conventional western drug treatment, and the control measure was conventional western drug treatment. The outcome indexes included clinical total effective rate, adverse reactions, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, abdominal pain symptom score, diarrhea symptom score, and blood in stool symptom score. The research method was a randomized controlled trial.
