- The aim of this review is to carry out a systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical trials evaluating efficacy and safety of Shuganjieyu Capsule for Senile Depression.

- Condition Being Studied
- Depression is one of the most common mood disorders, mainly manifested by low mood, lack of interest, attention difficulties, decreased appetite and other symptoms, some patients have self-injury, suicide behavior, and other cognitive, behavioral and social function abnormalities.According to the survey, the current lifetime prevalence of depression is as high as 10.8%.
- Participant
- Inclusion criteria: 1) Senile adults with depression will be included. 2) Age 60 years or more. 3）During the study, Shugan Jieyu capsule or other antidepressant drugs were used for antidepressant treatment. 4) Randomized controlled study. Exclusion criteria: 1) Drugs dosage form of Shogan Jieyu is not in capsule form;(2) The use of other drugs or treatment methods, such as acupuncture, massage, transcranial magnetic stimulation, psychotherapy, etc.;(3) Retrospective studies or one-arm studies were excluded.(4) Patients with anxiety, insomnia, schizophrenia or delusional disorder;(5) Depression disorder secondary to drugs, physical diseases and psychotropic substances. or the data is incomplete.
