- Title
- The efficacy of honey on the healing of caesarean wounds.
- Review Question
- What is the efficacy of honey on the wound healing of caesarean section wounds in animal models? Context and rationale With the expectation that the number of operations and c-sections (cesarean sections) will only continue to increase in the future, just like antibiotic resistance, surgical site infections are also expected to increase. Honey can be an alternative to antibiotics in this respect, as several RCTs have already shown, but there is as yet no systematic overview of all studies of honey in c-section wounds.
