Review Question
To examine the effect of Qiming Granule for treating diabetic macular edema.
Study Type Included
Randomised controlled trials will be included.
Condition Being Studied
Diabetic macular edema is a further complication of diabetic eye disease. It is characterized by a swelling of the macular due to ischemia, this can lead to blood vessel leakage and changes in permeability, eventually leading to the destruction of the blood-retinal barrier.
Participant
Patients diagnosed with diabetic macular edema at any age.

Intervention
Patients were treated with Qiming Granule as compared with other therapy or controls. All patients receive treatment of glycemic control including lifestyle modification and pharmacological therapy.
Comparator Control
Patients were exposed to other therapy or controls. All patients receive treatment of glycemic control including lifestyle modification and pharmacological therapy.
Main Outcome
Total effective rate.

Visual recovery rate and central macular thickness.
