- Condition Being Studied
- Heart failure (HF) is the end stage of various heart diseases, affecting 1% - 2% of the total population of the United States and more than 10% of the population aged over 70 years. The HF incidence rate is 0.9% in China, and 50% of patients with HF have sudden cardiac death, which is closely related to ventricular arrhythmia (VA). VA include ventricular premature contraction (VPC), ventricular tachycardia (VT), ventricular flutter (VF) and ventricular fibrillation (Vf). In the dynamic electrocardiogram monitoring, almost all patients with HF can record VA, of which are mostly VPC and VT. HF and VA often occur at the same time and promote each other's deterioration.

- All of the participants who were enrolled in the trials were required to meet at least one of the current or past definitions of HF-VA. Trials without a description of the detailed diagnostic criteria but which reported patients with definite HF-VA were also included.

- Patients of experimental groups were given SSYX on the basis of amiodarone.
- Comparator Control
- The intervention for control group was amiodarone alone. The basic therapies in the SSYX-amiodarone and amiodarone group were similar, including angiotensin II receptor antagonists, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, cardiac glycosides, nitrates, beta blockers, and so on.

- The primary outcome measurements were the effective rate and adverse events (ADRs). Measures of effect The effect rate and ADRs were presented as RRs.

- The secondary outcomes were the frequency of ventricular premature complexes (VPCs), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), N terminal pro Btype natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), QT dispersion (QTd). Measures of effect VPCs, LVEF, NT-proBNP, and QTd were presented as MD.
