Title
Efficacy and safety of Shensong Yangxin capsule in the treatment of Premature Ventricular Complexes :A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis
Review Question
The aim of this meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Shensong Yangxin capsule in the treatment of Premature Ventricular Complexes
Study Type Included
The study will include randomized controlled trials of SSYX in the treatment of PVCs, whether blind or not, in Chinese and English.
Condition Being Studied
Premature Ventricular Complexes (PVCs) are the contraction caused by early depolarization of ventricular muscles below his bundle and its branches. They are a common type of arrhythmia in the clinic. Studies have shown that frequent PVCs are closely associated with an increased risk of heart failure, cardiomyopathy, ventricular arrhythmia, sudden cardiac death and ischemic stroke. At present, the treatment of PVCs includes drug treatment and surgical treatment, which can reduce the frequency of PVCs in the heart with non-organic lesions, but may also cause side effects, such as gastroesophageal reflux, constipation and leg swelling. Recently, Several clinical research has proved that the SSYX can reduce the overall number of premature beats and alleviate PVC-related symptoms. At the same time, it can improve cardiac function to a certain extent for patients with heart failure, and it can partially increase the heart rate of patients with sinus bradycardia. However, the evidence from a single randomized controlled trial is relatively insufficient, and no relevant systematic review has been published. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SSYX in the treatment of PVCs, providing a reference for clinical use.
Participant
Participants were diagnosed as PVCs. The diagnostic standard shall conform to the general diagnostic standard of WHO, or the reference standard formulated by the state, or the standard recommended by professional associations.

Human Disease Modelled
Intervention
The experimental group was treated with SSYX.
Comparator Control
the control group was treated with antiarrhythmic drugs or a placebo. including β-blockers and non-dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers, et al.
Main Outcome
Total number and frequency of PVCs.
