- We only included the randomized control trial (RCTs) in this netawork meta-analysis.
- Condition Being Studied
- Primary dysmenorrhea often cause the lower abdomen of spastic pain and spasm, and often accompany the symptoms such as headache, dizziness, fatigue. At present, patients with primary dysmenorrhea can lead to depression and anxiety, and even suicide and suicide. According to the related clinical treatment, misuses of drugs will exacerbate patient's condition. More and more clinicians have explored in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. Relevant research shows that traditional Chinese medicine can promote sex gland development, regulatory hormone levels, and relieve pain. As a traditionsl Chinese patent medicine, Wuji Baifeng Pill has been widely used in clinical practice and has obtained a certain degree of recognition. Based on the existing randomized controlled trials and patients, the clinical efficacy and safety of Wuji Baifeng Pills in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea needed to be comprehensive.

- Clinically diagnosed as primary dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea in women of childbearing age be diagnosed by pelvic examination, ultrasound scan and laparoscopy or self-reporting. Postmenopausal women and patients with secondary dysmenorrhea need to be excluded.

- Wuji Baifeng Pills combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS)(including including, indomethacin, naproxen, ibuprofen, diclofenac, meloxicam, celecoxib, etoricoxib, parecoxib, etc).Wuji Baifeng Pills need to provide the batch number of the State Food and Drug Administration. Traditional Chinese medicine decoction, acupuncture, massage and other traditional Chinese patent medicine preparations were excluded.
- Comparator Control
- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) (including, indomethacin, naproxen, ibuprofen, diclofenac, meloxicam, celecoxib, etoricoxib, parecoxib, etc) or Placebo.
- Main Outcome
- Pain intensity by visual analogue scale (VAS) and pain durations Measures of effect Pain intensity according to the visual analogue scale (VAS); pain durations that from the beginning of the experiment to the relief of pain according to the VAS or patient's self-report. We will measure the pain durations at the end of treatment course and the Pain intensity in the beginning and at the end of the treatment course.

- Response rate, Cox Menstrual Symptom Scale (CMSS), quality of life (QOL), and Safety (adverse events). Measures of effect We calculated response rate as [(number of total patients − number of invalid patients)/number of total patients] × 100%.We will measure the Response rate and safety at the end of treatment course. We will measurethe other secondary outcomes in the beginning and at the end of the treatment course.
