- Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) is a functional disease caused by non organic factors in the digestive tract. The main clinical symptoms are abdominal, pain, chronic intermitent defecation habits and changes in stool characteristics, accompained by a series of symptoms with various changes in other systems of the body. The existing safe and effective drugs for IBS are very limited, and traditional Chinese medicine may be a feasible method for the treatment of IBS.
