Title
Qingkailing injection for Patients with Influenza: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
Review Question
The aim of this meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of qingkailing injection for influenza.
Study Type Included
Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be included.
Condition Being Studied
Influenza is an acute respiratory infectious disease, mainly caused by influenza virus. It is mainly transmitted by droplets in the air, human to human contact or contact with contaminated materials. The typical clinical manifestations are sudden high fever, general pain and respiratory symptoms. Influenza viruses are mainly divided into three types, named as type A, type B and type C respectively. Every year during the flu season, a large number of people will be infected with influenza, causing a huge health and financial burden, and many people die of influenza or other diseases caused by influenza. At present, there has been a certain resistance to influenza. Traditional Chinese medicine may be used as a candidate drug for combined treatment. Qingkailing injection has been used in clinic for many years and is often used in the treatment of influenza patients. This study aims to explore its effectiveness and safety.
Participant
People with influenza (as diagnosed by a clinician, or using any recognized diagnostic criteria) will be included.People who cannot cooperate with influenza or mental illness will be excluded.
Animal
Human Disease Modelled
Intervention
Application of Qingkailing injection combined with other antiviral drugs in the treatment of influenza is an intervention measure.
Comparator Control
Treatment of influenza with antiviral drugs alone.
Main Outcome
Disappearance time of clinical symptoms Measures of effect We used the random effects model to calculate the 95% confi dence interval (CI) and odds ratio (OR) or mean difference (MD) of outcomes due to the inclusion criteria, intervention and comparisons not being exactly the same.
Outcome Measure
Additional Outcome
Negative time of influenza virus nucleic acid detection Measures of effect We used the random effects model to calculate the 95% confi dence interval (CI) and odds ratio (OR) or mean difference (MD) of outcomes due to the inclusion criteria, intervention and comparisons not being exactly the same.
