- Condition Being Studied
- Heart failure is a group of syndromes characterized by impairment of ventricular ejection and filling function. These impairments are caused by structural or functional abnormalities of the heart. Heart failure is also the end stage of various heart diseases. Hypertension patients due to long-term hypertension state, resulting in their systemic circulation arterial pressure also maintain a high-pressure condition, with the prolongation of time, their left ventricle gradually appears to hypertrophy, enlargement, and eventually develop heart failure. At this stage, drug therapy is the primary means of clinical treatment of high blood pressure complicated with heart failure. Although clinical symptoms of patients can be alleviated effectively by drug therapy, some side effects still exist, such as heart failure worsening, hypokalemia, cough, heart rate slowing down, angioedema, and so on. At present, clinical trials have shown that Qili Qiangxin can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and heart function of patients with high blood pressure complicated with heart failure.

- RCTs of Qili Qiangxin capsule for patients with high blood pressure and heart failure. The diagnostic criteria are in line with the diagnostic criteria for hypertension and heart failure developed by the Chinese Medical Association and the World Health Organization. Gender, race, region, and degree of illness are unrestricted. Exclusion criteria: Duplicate literature and the full text of the study cannot be obtained; The study used the study of traditional Chinese medicine treatment other than Qili Qiangxin capsule; Animal experiments, pharmacological studies, case studies, and non-randomized controlled trial studies;

- The treatment group is treated with Qili Qiangxin capsule combined with conventional western medicine (produced by Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical, orally, 4 capsules each time, three times a day).

- The control group was given conventional treatments such as cardiotonic, diuresis, and antihypertensive therapy. The treatment group added the Qili Qiangxin capsule on top of the control group.

Measures of effect The mean difference (MD) was used for the effect measure of additional outcomes.
