Review Question
Does Danlou tablet have benefits for coronary heart disease? Does Danlou tablet often have adverse effects and events when treating coronary heart disease?
Study Type Included
Randomized controlled trials will be included in this systematic review. We will contact all the included study authors for the details of randomization methods.
Condition Being Studied
Coronary heart disease (coronary heart diseases, CHD) is a common clinical disease. With the prosperity of social economy, cardiovascular disease incidence in our country increased year by year. At present the means of treatment of coronary heart disease in clinic is various, but treatment with drug is still the main method. Select rational drug for treatment with great influence on prognosis. Chinese medicine (CM) has been practised for thousands of years and a series of studies have suggested that it bring multiple benefits to people with CHD due to the discovery of their effectiveness in alleviating symptoms of myocardial infarction,angina pectoris, arrhythmia, hypertension and other cardiovascular conditions. In particular, Danlou Tablet,a Chinese patent medicine, has been successfully utilized by many cardiologists and internists for its induction of promoting blood circulation and eliminating phlegm. It consists of the following ingredients: Salvia, miltiorrhiza Bunge, Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort, Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim and Allium macrostemon Bunge, etc. There is no research on Danlou Tablet system evaluation on the treatment of coronary heart disease.
Participant
Patients of both sexes who have coronary heart disease, regardless of age, gender, race or educational and economic status will be included. Participants with myocardial infarction, heart failure, hepatic failure and renal failure were excluded. The diagnostic criteria coronary heart disease are explicit according to the domestic or international acknowledged diagnostic criteria.

Intervention
1. Danlou tablet combined with any current Western drugs compared with the same Western drugs alone 2. Danlou tablet combined with any current Western drugs compared with placebo plus the same Western drugs
Comparator Control
For control, any current Western drugs and placebo. Any specific herbs extract injection and Chinese medicine are not allowed as controls.
Main Outcome
Cardiovascular death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, heart failure, angor pectoris, coronary revascularization
Outcome Measure
Additional Outcome
Clinical efficacy, angina symptom improvement, ECG improvement, adverse effects (eg: toxic responses, anaphylaxis, any problems with veins used for intravenous administration)
