- Title
- 6 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine injections for Sudden Deafness: A protocol for systematic review and network meta-analysis
- Review Question
- The purpose of this randomized controlled trial network meta-analysis is to compare the efficacy and safety of six traditional Chinese medicine injections in the treatment of sudden deafness by evaluating the intervention measures of each outcome index, so as to provide reference for clinicians' decision-making.
- Study Type Included
- Randomized controlled trials or clinical controlled trials will be included.
- Condition Being Studied
- In the United States, at least 5 to 27 of every 100000 people are diagnosed with sudden deafness. Every year, about 66000 cases of sudden deafness increase, showing an increasing trend year by year, and the average age has declined. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that sudden deafness is caused by evil invading the orifices of the ear, qi stagnation and blood stasis, and is related to the occlusion of the orifices of the ear caused by various factors. At present, a variety of traditional Chinese medicine injections have achieved good results in the clinical treatment of sudden deafness. Due to the wide variety of traditional Chinese medicine injections and different treatment advantages, there is no relevant research on the comparison of various treatment measures, which is not conducive to clinicians to make the best clinical decisions.
- Participant
- Adults with sudden deafness (as diagnosed by a clinician, or using any recognized diagnostic criteria) will be included. It can be accompanied by symptoms such as tinnitus and vertigo, regardless of age, gender, and course of disease.
- Animal
- Human Disease Modelled
- Intervention
- Traditional Chinese medicine injection (including Puerarin Injection, Jinnaduo Injection, Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection, Compound Danshen Injection, Xuesaitong Injection, Mailuoning Injection), can be used in combination with conventional drugs (such as hormone drugs, vasodilators, anticoagulants, vitamins, nutrient-nerve drugs, antiviral drugs, etc.).
- Comparator Control
- One of the six traditional Chinese medicine injections different from the control group, can be used in combination with conventional drugs.
- Main Outcome
- Total clinical effective rate; Tinnitus effective rate; Relevant indexes of hemorheology (include whole blood viscosity low shear, plasma viscosity, and hematocrit).
- Outcome Measure
- Additional Outcome
- adverse reactions.
