- Title
- Efficacy and Safety of Dalitong Granule in combination with Proton Pump Inhibitors versus Proton Pump Inhibitors alone in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease:a meta-analysis
- Review Question
- the mata-analysis evaluated whether the combination therapy PPI plus Dalitong Granule could improve the treatment effects and safety compared with PPI monotherapy in GERD patients, to provide an evidence-based reference for clinical practice.
- Study Type Included
- Randomized controlled trials will be included.
- Condition Being Studied
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is among the most common conditions seen in ambulatory clinics and its disease burden continues to rise, with most recent studies reporting an 18 to 28% prevalence of GERD among North Americans.Although proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy is the mainstay pharmacologic management for GERD, accounting for approximately 30% patients do not respond to PPI.Relevant studies show that traditional Chinese medicine--dalitong granule plus PPI could reduce symptoms and improve treaty effects.
- Participant
- Inclusion criteria:people with gastroesophageal reflux disease(as diagnosed by a clinical , or using any recognized diagnostic criterias) Exclusion criteria:GERD patients with other digestive system diseases and/or systemic diseases.

- Human Disease Modelled
- Intervention
- The experimental group was patients treated with Dalitong granule combined with PPI.The dosage, course of treatment and route of administration of drugs in the experimental group and the control group were not limited
- Comparator Control
- The control group was patients treated with PPI alone. The dosage, course of treatment and route of administration of drugs in the control group were not limited.
