- Review Question
- 1.Can traditional Chinese medicine injections reduce the risk of a poor outcome (that is, being dependent on others in activities of daily living or death) several months after acute ischaemic stroke? 2.Can traditional Chinese medicine injections improve neurological function in patients with acute ischaemic stroke compared to placebo,no-treatment or conventional treatment? 3.If traditional Chinese medicine injections safe to use in patients with acute ischaemic stroke? 4.Compare the efficacy and safety with different traditional Chinese medicine injections.
- Study Type Included
- Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be included. Observational, cohort, case-control, case series, qualitative and laboratory studies, and uncontrolled trials will be excluded.
- Condition Being Studied
- Acute ischemic stroke is a major cause of death and disability worldwide. Most of acute ischemic strokes are due to blockage of an artery in the brain by a blood clot e.g. from the heart or neck arteries.

- Patients with Acute ischemic stroke within 14 days of onset, diagnised by CT or MRI.

- Traditional Chinese Medicine Injections on the National Essential Drugs List of China, including Qingkailing injection, Mailuoning injection, Shenmai injection, Shengmai injection, Xueshuangtong injection, Xuesaitong injection, Danshen injection.

- Placebo,no-treatment and conventional treatment.
