- Review Question
- This study evaluates the efficacy and safety of the Chinese Herbal Formula Shen Ling Bai zhu San in symptomatic relief of Peptic ulcer.
- Study Type Included
- Participants in the review included patients with peptic ulcers of all ages and no other severe organ or systemic disease. All the included patients were diagnosed with active peptic ulcer by gastroscopy. The exclusion criteria were as following:(1)Non-comparative studies (2)Studies that did not indicate a definite diagnosis by gastroscopy or pathological examination; (3) Studies with repeated publication or data duplication; (4) Experience summary, theoretical exposition and other review literature; (5) Pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, animal experiments, toxicological experiments and other non-clinical trials; (6) No valid data for analysis is reported.
- Condition Being Studied
- Peptic Ulcer (PU) usually refers to an ulcer that occurs when the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract is digested by stomach acid and pepsin. It usually occurs in the stomach and duodenum, but can also occur in the lower esophagus, small intestine, anastomosis after gastrointestinal anastomosis, and gastric mucosa with ectopic location, such as Meckel diverticulum located in the intestine. Is the digestive system common disease and frequently-occurring disease.

- Participants in the review included patients with peptic ulcers of all ages and no other severe organ or systemic disease.
