We will include clinical trials to assess the efficacy of Melissa officinalis L in the treatment of diseases
Condition Being Studied
The use of medicinal plants for patients suffering from chronic diseases is made trivially and indiscriminately. The popular knowledge has prompted studies to evaluate and prove the biological activity of these plants. Melissa officinalis comes from Europe and is now grown all over the world. As well as having soothing and carminative effects, it also has anxiolytic and sedative/hypnotic actions. In addition, we intend to evaluate the methodological quality of clinical studies found providing evidence necessary to validate the popular use of these medicinal plants, besides providing the basic information for decision-making in clinical practice as well as for future research.
