- Condition Being Studied
- The use of medicinal plants for patients suffering from chronic diseases is made trivially and indiscriminately. The popular knowledge has prompted studies to evaluate and prove the biological activity of these plants. Melissa officinalis comes from Europe and is now grown all over the world.As well as having soothing and carminative effects, it also has anxiolytic and sedative/hypnotic actions. In addition, we intend to evaluate the methodological quality of clinical studies found providing evidence necessary to validate the popular use of these medicinal plants, besides providing the basic information for decision-making in clinical practice as well as for future research.

- Patients of all ages who use Melissa officinalis L in treating disorders in the treatment of diseases. No country restrictions were used.

- Patients of all ages who use Melissa officinalis L in treating disorders. For inclusion of the work must ensure that they are original clinical trials, published in English, Spanish or Portuguese.

- Control group composed of healthy patients or patients using drugs.
