Effects of angong niuhuang pill on hemorrhagic stroke: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Review Question
The purpose of this review is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of angong niuhuang pill as an adjuvant therapy in patients with hemorrhagic stroke.
Study Type Included
This study will only consider randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Any other studies will be not considered, such as non-clinical studies, non-controlled trials, crossover studies, non-RCTs, and quasi-RCTs.

Hemorrhagic stroke; angong niuhuang pill
Participant
Adult participants (≥18 years), with a confirmed diagnosis of hemorrhagic stroke.

Angong Niuhuang Pill + Usual treatment

Main Outcome
Death and dependency; Glasgow Coma Scale; Barthel Index; Adverse events. Measures of effect Disability was measured as the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) or equivalent. Adverse events include any expected and unexpected adverse events.
Outcome Measure
Additional Outcome
Neurological deterioration. Measures of effect Neurological deterioration was defined as worsening on a stroke neurological impairment scale (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Score-NIHSS score, NIHSS score) or equivalent.
