- What is the efficacy and safety of visnadine in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction?
- Study Type Included
- Include: Studies conducted to premenopausal and postmenopausal women diagnosed with sexual dysfunction according to Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) wtih a limit of </=26.55 for female sexual dysfunction or with self-reported symptoms of lack of desire, arousal, and orgasm for at least 6 months or based on the DSM-IV definition of Female Sexual Dysfunction. Studies that evaluate the effect of visnadine in women with sexual dysfunction. Randomized clinical trials. Exclude: Uncontrolled clinical trials. Case reports, editorials, reviews, conference summaries, studies not available in their full version or that after trying to contact the authors do not have a favorable response in 1 month.
- Condition Being Studied
- We will focus on the effectiveness and safety of visnadine on female sexual dysfunction. This will help us to show the benefits of its application in this group of people.
- Participant
- Women with sexual dysfunction Inclusion: Premenopausal and postmenopausal women with sexual dysfunction. Exclusion: Women diagnosed with genital neoplasia.

- Human Disease Modelled
- Intervention
- Application or usage of visnadine by any route of administration (for example: topical, oral or parenteral.)
- Comparator Control
- Placebo, or standard intervention.
- Main Outcome
- The effect of visnadine on the improvement in sexual satisfaction evaluated by the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) or evaluated by self-reported symptomatic improvement, likewise, the safety and tolerance of the product. Measures of effect Mean difference, standardized mean difference, relative risk, odds ratio, risk difference of those studies that report sexual desire, arousal, orgasm, satisfaction, lubrication and sexual pain evaluated by scores (by Likert scale or a standardized instrument).
