Kidney failure events are defined as: More than 25% or 50% decrease in the estimated GFR (eGFR)* Doubling of serum creatinine End stage renal disease (ESRD); 4..Rate of change in eGFR: the difference from baseline in eGFR divided by the number of years between creatinine measurements (ml/min/1.73m2 per year); 5.
