- Title
- Antibacterial action mechanisms of trypsin inhibitors: a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis
- Review Question
- What are the antibacterial mechanisms of action of trypsin inhibitor peptides or proteins? Therefore, the research question is: P – Rats, Mice, Cell, Bacterial culture I - Administration of peptides or proteins trypsin inhibitors type C - Rats or mice, bacterial cells or cultures treated with other bacterial agents O - Mechanisms of action of peptides or proteins trypsin inhibitor type on bacterial activity S- In vitro (bacterial culture), cell and in vivo experimental studies Context and rationale Mortality rates due to opportunistic infections, due to resistance to antimicrobial drugs, have increased, thus being considered a public health problem. In this context, peptides or proteins trypsin inhibitor type has stood out concerning antibacterial activity in animal studies mainly regarding infectious diseases arising from metabolic or external factors, for example, sepsis. Therefore, this systematic review aims to understand the action mechanisms, mainly involved in the antibacterial activity, to have a coherent and concise perception of the action of peptides or proteins trypsin inhibitor type. The information obtained in the proposed review may assist in the development of other research and disseminate the study of these promising bioactive compounds in advancing the production of safe foods and medicines for the world population.
