Trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) has been recognized as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. However, the role of TMAO in ischemic stroke remains unclear.Stroke is the leading cause of death and neurological dysfunction worldwide,approximately 87% of stroke events are ischemic strokes,Its high disability and mortality rate seriously affects the quality of life of patients and causes a burden on families and society。
