- Condition Being Studied
- Lichen planus is an inflammatory, autoimmune disease that can affect the skin as well as the mucous membranes. Mucosa lesions in OLP are chronic, rarely undergo spontaneous remission, are potentially premalignant even leading to oral cancer. Numerous new methods and treatments have been available and provided a variety of treatment options, including topical steroids, immunosuppressant, retinoid, Nutraceuticals, phototherapy, Photodynamic therapy and surgery.

- Patients with signs and symptoms of Oral Iichen planus and also confirmed by histopathology.

- Administration of herbal medications in oral lichen planus like aloe vera, curcumin , Glycyrizha glabra purslane, chinese medicine, lycopene , raspberry leaf extract e.t.c
- Comparator Control
- Numerous new methods and treatments are available, but the comparator will be any other treatment modality(corticosteroids, tacrolimus, calcineurin inhibitors).
- Main Outcome
- Sign score for the clinical improvement was scored according to criteria set by Thongprasom et al.

- Levels of anxiety , salivary cortisol , HCV -Seropositivity , diabetes mellitus , hypertension , thyroid dysfunction , TNF-alpha , kappa B, Cell surface receptors(CCR1, CCR3, CCR4, CCR5, CCR9, CCR10).
