- Title
- Effects of Sodium Tanshinone IIA Sulfonate Injection on Vascular Endothelial Function and Inflammatory Factors in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Clinical Trials
- Review Question
- This study was designed to systematically review the effects of Sodium Tanshinone IIA Sulfonate Injection (STS) on endothelial function and inflammatory factors in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and to provide a basis for further studies.
- Study Type Included
- Randomized controlled trials (RCT)
- Condition Being Studied
- Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a common disease of the cardiovascular system characterized by acute myocardial ischemia caused by disruption of coronary artery plaque and consequent thrombosis-induced severe coronary artery stenosis or occlusion, including acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), acute non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and unstable angina (UA). Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is now a common treatment for ACS, saving dying myocardial cells by opening diseased vessels and restoring myocardial perfusion. However, PCI is an invasive and invasive procedure, which may further damage the vascular endothelium during treatment, leading to increased inflammatory response and in-stent thrombosis, and some patients may experience adverse cardiovascular events that affect the prognosis. An increasing number of controlled clinical studies have found that Sodium Tanshinone IIA Sulfonate Injection (STS) is efficacious in ACS and has improved vascular endothelial function and inflammatory factors. However, Meta-analysis on the effects of STS on endothelial function and inflammatory factors has not been reported. Therefore, we systematically evaluated the effects of STS on vascular endothelial function and inflammatory factors in patients with ACS treated with PCI using meta-analysis.
