- Title
- Influence of different concentration sodium hypochlorite concentration (NaOCl) on postoperative pain after endodontic treatment: systematic review.
- Review Question
- Can different alterations (high / low) of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) influence post-operative pain after endodontic treatment?
- Study Type Included
- Only Randomized Clinical Trial will be inclued in this systematic review.
- Condition Being Studied
- Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) is an adjuvant substance in endodontic therapy, several alternatives have been used clinically. This systematic review aims to show how children (tall or short) can lead to postoperative pain after endodontic treatment. In general, the antibacterial effect is better at a higher concentration, but there is a possibility of likely causing toxic effects that can damage periradicular tissues. Therefore, it is hypothesized that the concentration of NaOCl may contribute to the degree of postoperative pain.
- Participant
- Patients who underwent endodontic treatment.
- Animal
- Human Disease Modelled
- Intervention
- High concentration of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl).
- Comparator Control
- Low concentration of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl).
- Main Outcome
- Postoperative pain. Measures of effect The pain will be measured in the included by the visual analog scale (VAS) or other scale that enable the pain assessment.
- Outcome Measure
- Additional Outcome
- Healing after primary endodontic treatment. Cultivable Bacteria. Postoperative swelling . Measures of effect From a bacterial sample taken before filling. Patient was instructed to complete a questionnaire after each treatment.
