Inclusion criteria: RCTs evaluating the effects of low versus high sodium intake in people with CKD including those with ESKD Exclusion criteria: Cohort and Observational Studies Studies on pregnant women Studies on people less than 18 years of age Studies which were followed up for less than 4 weeks Studies which were found in languages other than English Studies which did not not report data on numbers in exposed and un-exposed categories and number of outcomes in each categories

We intended to study the effect of dietary sodium restriction in the management of CKD. As part of our search strategy we included RCTs measuring the effect of low versus high sodium intake in people with CKD and ESKD. The studies in the review will compare two or more levels of differing sodium intake

Change in Systolic and Diastolic BP Change in Serum Creatinine Change in Serum Urea Change in eGFR Measures of effect Outcomes will be measured in mean and standard deviation of both intervention and control groups
