Review Question
What is the optimal biological index in occupational exposure to low concentrations of benzene? What is the optimal biological index in occupational exposure to medium concentrations of benzene? What is the optimal biological index in occupational exposure to high concentrations of benzene? What is the optimal biological index in occupational acute exposure to benzene? How much do individual confounding factors affect the accuracy of the biological monitoring results of occupational exposure to benzene?
Study Type Included
Inclusion criteria: All articles were published during the period 1985 to July 1, 2021, without geographic or language restriction. Exclusion Criteria: letters to the editor, review articles, single case studies, modeling studies without original data, laboratory, mechanism, or clinical articles, non-occupational studies, and animal studies.

Intervention
Inclusion criteria: Articles with the following criteria will be included as the suitability of the publication: (1) published article, (2) cross-sectional, cohort, case-control, and longitude, (3), full-text articles, (4) present of original data, (5) preferred biological monitoring of occupational exposure to benzene, (6) reported benzene exposure concentration, and (7) reported biomarker (s) concentration. Exclusion criteria: letters to the editor, review articles, single case studies, modeling studies without original data, laboratory, mechanism, or clinical articles, non-occupational studies, and animal studies.
Comparator Control
We are looking for previous articles to determine the optimal biological index for occupational exposure to benzene. Occupational exposure to benzene occurs in a variety of industries and will not require intervention.
Main Outcome
The concentration of occupational exposure to Benznen. The concentration of biomarker of benzene (each of Benzene in air exhaled, Benzene in urine, Benzene in blood, Muconic acid in the urine, s- phenyl mercapturic acid in the urine, Phenol in urine, Hydroquinone in urine, or Catechol in urine) Measures of effect Odd ration (OR) and Relative ration (RR).
Outcome Measure
Additional Outcome
The effect of individual or environmental confounding factors on the results of biological monitoring of occupational exposure to benzene. Age, Gender, Cigarette smoking, Diet, Work experience, or Air sampling technique.
