Title
Occupational exposure to benzene and presence of genotoxicity biomarker in gas station attendants - Systematic review
Review Question
Is there a presence of genotoxicity markers in gas station workers exposed to benzene?
Study Type Included
We will include observational studies (including cohort, case-control and cross-sectional studies) for damage assessment.
Condition Being Studied
Evaluate the effect of occupational exposure of gas station attendants to benzene on the genetic damage quantified by the oral cell micronucleus (BMn) test, through a systematic literature review, in order to warn of possible risks and damages caused to these professionals, contributing to safer working conditions, health and better quality of life in this working class.
Participant
gas station attendants, people who underwent chemotherapy treatments, use of radiation will be excluded.
Animal
Human Disease Modelled
Intervention
Exposure to benzene
Comparator Control
people not exposed to benzene
Main Outcome
Observation of the presence of genetic alterations and geotoxicity in the oral cells of gas station attendants, only articles with results based on the oral cell micronucleus (BMn) test as a genotoxicity biomarker will be selected. Measures of effect mean and standard deviation.
Outcome Measure
Additional Outcome
None. Measures of effect None.
