- Population: paraquat poisoning patients; Intervention: rhubarb (one of the Chinese traditional medicine) Comparison: conventional treatment of patients with paraquat poisoning （reduce paraquat absorption-gastric lavage, catharsis; clear paraquat-blood perfusion; anti-inflammatory; scavenging free radicals; organ support therapy, etc.） Outcome: the primary outcome was death; the secondary outcome was multiple organ dysfunction syndromes (MODS), lung injury was pulmonary fibrosis, liver injury was ALT (U/L), and kidney injury was SCr (μmol/L), the antioxidant index is SOD (U/ml)； Study design: randomized controlled trials and non-randomized controlled trials.

- We will include randomised controlled trials evaluating the beneficial effects of rhubarb in patients with paraquat poisoning, and will complement these trials with non-randomised controlled trials to assess harm.

- Intervention
- Paraquat poisoning patients were treated with the Chinese traditional medicine rhubarb combined with conventional western medicine. Western medicine routine treatment included gastric lavage, catharsis, diuresis, blood perfusion, antioxidant, immunosuppressive therapy, organ protection, nutritional support etc.. Mechanical ventilation can be performed if necessary.
- Comparator Control
- Conventional western medicine. Western medicine routine treatment included gastric lavage, catharsis, diuresis, blood perfusion, antioxidant, immunosuppressive therapy, organ protection, nutritional support etc.. Mechanical ventilation can be performed if necessary.
- Main Outcome
- The case fatality rate of patients with paraquat poisoning was used to evaluate the rhubarb-treated and no rhubarb-treated groups. Measures of effect odds ratios (OR)

- The incidence rate of MODS in patients with paraquat poisoning will be used to evaluate the damage to the patient's organs, and the incidence rate of pulmonary fibrosis for lung injury, serum ALT for liver injury, SCr for kidney injury, and SOD for antioxidant system conditions, etc..
