- Title
- The Effect of Astragalus polysaccharide on immune function in cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppressed mouse models: A Meta-Analysis and Systematic Review
- Review Question
- Can Astragalus polysaccharide enhance the immune function of cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppressed mouse models compared with the negative controls? Population (P): cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppressed mouse models Intervention (I): Astragalus polysaccharide Comparison (C): negative controls Outcomes (O): immune function Context and rationale Cyclophosphamide is one of the most commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs in the treatment of cancer, which can prevent the proliferation of cancer cells. However, immunosuppression as the main side effect of CTX, has caused great distress to patients. As an ancient Chinese herbal medicine, Astragalus can improve the immunity of the human body, and it is often used together with other traditional Chinese medicines to treat the immunosuppression caused by cyclophosphamide. As one of the main components of Astragalus, can Astragalus polysaccharide be used independently to improve immunity, and how effective it is, will be the issues we need to explore.
