- Study Type Included
- Studies were considered eligible for inclusion if they were published as a full manuscript in a peer-reviewed journal and consisted of experimental animal and/or human intervention studies with outcomes related to the effect of phytic acid on cardiovascular disorders. As exclusion criteria, were excluded studies that used phytates other than phytic acid were disregarded; in vitro tests; and other disorders that do not fit into pathologies of the cardiovascular system.

- As for the types of exposures, only studies in which participants were necessarily submitted to interventions that induced cardiovascular damage, in the case of animals, or therapeutic intervention in humans with phytic acid in a population diagnosed with cardiovascular disorders, were included. We also selected studies that accurately determined the dose to be administered and the routes of administration of the phytic acid. There were no exclusions by gender and/or age.

- The intervention group treated with phytic acid were compared with a control group, that weren't treated with phytic acid.

- Significant redution of cardiovascular disorders in a population treated with phytic acid. Measures of effect risk difference
