Review Question
How the different nickel-titanium instruments perform in curved canal preparation?
Study Type Included
We will include randomised experiments to assess the effects of the treatments.
Condition Being Studied
Root canals preparation plays an important role in root canals treatment. If the infectious substances in root canals are not thoroughly removed during root canals preparation, the effect of root canals treatment will be influenced. Due to the particular shape and structure of root canals, it is much more complex to prepare curved root canals. However, curved root canals are very common.
Participant
Inclusion: Experiments were conducted with extracted human teeth. Exclusion: Experiments were conducted with resin or human teeth in vivo.

Intervention
Different nickel-titanium instruments interventions are defined as root canals were prepared with reciprocating single file systems (WaveOne, WaveOne gold, Reciproc and Reciproc blue), rotary file systems (ProTaper, ProTaper next, one-shape, M-two, HyFlex CM, HyFlex EDM, XP-endo shaper and Twisted Files) and adaptive motion file systems (Twisted File Adaptive) using a standard technique according to the product manual. Motor movement instruments including ProTaper, ProTaper next (DentsplyMaillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland), M-two (Sweden & Martina, Padova, Italy), WaveOne, WaveOne gold (Dentsply Sirona Dental Specialties, Tulsa, OK, USA), Reciproc, Reciproc blue (VDW GmbH, Munich, Germany), one-shape (Micro-Mega, Besancon Cedex, France), XP-endo shaper (FKG, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland), HyFlex CM, HyFlex EDM (ColteneWhaledent, Allstetten, Switzerland), Twisted Files and Twisted Files Adaptive (SybronEndo, Orange, CA, USA). Evaluation of retreatment, obturation, not curved root canal is excluded.
Comparator Control
Not applicable.
Main Outcome
The apical, middle or coronal canals will be evaluated under micro computed tomography (Micro-CT). The data including canal transportation and centering ratio have exact numbers, including mean and standard deviation (SD), not only maximum or minimum. Measures of effect odds ratios
