What is the effect (or impact) of magnesium supplementation in individues portadors of type II diabetes? Second, what are the main effects on nivels of paramers bioquimics, how fasting glucose, HbA1c and other paramers involved in glycemic control of process?

Condition Being Studied
Type 2 diabetes is characterised by relative insulin deficiency caused by pancreatic β-cell dysfunction and insulin resistance in target organs. Type 2 diabetes is frequently associated with both extracellular and intracellular magnesium (Mg) deficits. A Mg deficit or an clinical hypomagnesemia is common in patients with type 2 diabetes, especially in those with poorly controlled glycemic profiles.
Participant
This review included studies that assessed parameters related to magnesium supplementation in patients with type II diabetes. The following criteria were used for exclued the studies: review articles, books chapters, studies that did not evaluate parameters of interest and studies performed with animals.

Individuals diagnosed with type II diabetes, supplemented with magnesium, in order to assess the impacts of magnesium deficiency and its supplementation on DM2 characteristics.
Comparator Control
Individuals with or whitout type II diabetes not exposed to magnesium deficiency or deficiency
