Does topical benzoyl peroxide reduce cutibacterium colonisation and/or clinical infection in shoulder surgery?

Cutibacterium colonisation and clinical infection in shoulder surgery.
Participant
Participants undergoing topical benzoyl peroxide application. Can be volunteers who undergo superficial sampling or patients undergoing shoulder surgery who have superficial and/or deep samples.

Intervention
Intervention = topical benzoyl peroxide application.
Comparator Control
Comparator = those not receiving topical benzoyl peroxide application (may have another comparator e.g. soap/placebo/chlorhexidine gluconate).
Main Outcome
1. Colonisation of superficial and deep tissues with cutibacterium - can be measured in positive swab rate or colony forming units/ml (CFU/ml). 2. Clinical infection on follow-up - number of patients presenting post-surgery with deep surgical site infection (SSI). Measures of effect Different outcomes on many of the papers, so difficult to specify.
