- 1. Colonisation of superficial and deep tissues with cutibacterium - can be measured in positive swab rate or colony forming units/ml (CFU/ml). 2. Clinical infection on follow-up - number of patients presenting post-surgery with deep surgical site infection (SSI). Measures of effect Different outcomes on many of the papers, so difficult to specify.
